Lysistrata
Presented by The City Theatre Company
Description
Lysistrata by Aristophanes
In Greek playwright Aristophanes’ outrageous—and very timely—play, a masterful woman, not to be outdone by her male counterparts, persuades her fellow female citizens to withhold sex from their husbands so that they may peacefully end the Peloponnesian War. It is a comic, bawdy, relevant, and irreverent look at politics, equality, and the eternal battle of the sexes.
Performances: 3/8/2019 through 3/31/2019
